How long has Adventure AZ existed?
Adventure AZ began in 2003 as an additional alternative to the existing pay and free meet and greet singles activity services in Phoenix. Obviously we feel our service is easier to use but we do not deter from using the other services in town. Out motto: The more the merrier.

Is Adventure AZ an organized group?
Adventure AZ is an organized group only in the sense that YOU make it happen. The purpose of this site is to offer an interactive online experience that allows you to MEET other people in a group environment with similar interests. This is not a dating service! The intent is to get out, meet new people, make new friends and have some fun.

Are there any hidden fees?

How do I host an event?
To host an event use the Adventure AZ calendar. Click the date number and add the details of the event such as time to meet, location, and any fees. If the costs are food and drink simply state so. If the costs may be high, suggest a $ range that may be involved. We also recommend providing an email address so others interested in your activity can get additional details such as who to look out for. Any posts that are abusive or vulgar will be removed. We also recommend using the message board to see if others are interested in your event before posting.

How can I be sure that Adventure AZ is safe?
Is life safe? Any activities group whether you pay for it or not comes with some risk. However, there is always safety in numbers and in public places. We recommend that all first timers to the group meet first at a public venue. Once you are the best of friends you can organize outdoor activities and invite others to attend. Adventure AZ is not liable or responsible for your safety. Use common sense before attending any event.

Is there an email list?
No, rather than have an email list in which case your box may fill up with unwanted mail, we decided to use a public message board.

Why is there a message board?
The purpose of the message board is not to list events (PLEASE US THE CALENDAR). It is to verify who will be attending events and to contact other "members" you may have lost touch with. We suggest you use your first name only to introduce yourself. If you have an event that can't be posted 2 - 4 weeks in advance then describe the event as spontaneous. Any posts that are abusive or vulgar will be removed.

Is there an Icebreaker event?
All events should be considered an icebreaker. The whole point is to meet new people. Certainly we understand that some people may be skeptical of this service. But since this is an open forum YOU are the board of directors. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
